Adjusting the programmed schedule/temps

There were times I set the thermostat higher than usual and now the device is always going to a higher temp than I desire. My kilowatt hours increased by 35hours last month! I understand that even if I lock the device to a certain range it will still automatically adjust accoording the currently programmed schedule/temps.

How can I adjust to avoid this problem? Ie; it is always going up to 75, but I never want it to go past 70. Surely there must be a way to do this...

I just went in an manually edited the schedule. Took a while, but I guess its the best way to handle it. I can see myself doing this several times/year...
